Quiet Morning in the City
Stacey has been a friend of mine since or oldest boys were toddlers going on nature walks together. But as they became school age, we don't really see each other very much anymore. So when Stacey asked me to take family photos of them while her dad was visiting for a couple weeks, I was very excited to catch up and see how much the boys had grown! The weather has been rainy and unpredictable this summer, so it wasn't surprising when we had to reschedule our original Saturday evening session for the following day. But instead of doing it at night before sunset, we decided to take photos early in the morning just after sunrise. It was my first time doing a session during the morning golden hour, and you know what? I think Sunday mornings in the Old Port might be one of my new favorite places to take photos. It's so quiet in the city then, and it feels so much more intimate. Even though it did end up sprinkling on us a little bit, it was a pretty near perfect morning for photos in our little city by the sea. We had a lot of fun walking around the usually bustling streets. I really love how this session of the "C" family turned out! Check out some of my favorites below.
